License Requirements and Deadlines

Very Important!

For newly licensed agents:

Example: Bob's birthday is April 7th. Bob got his real estate license on June 24th, 2023. Bob needs to renew his license on April 7th, 2024 and complete his 20 hr Post Licensure by June 24th, 2024.

Another Example: Molly's birthday is September 20th. Molly got her real estate license on August 1st. Molly needs to renew her license on September 20th, 2023 and complete her 20 hr Post License by August 1st, 2024.

After your first year:

After your initial renewal and submitting your 20hr post-license certificate, you have 3 years (due on your birthday) to complete your CE requirements and submit a renewal application to the Division of Real Estate.

Where to take CE courses?

At Keller Williams Home Town Realty we try our best to schedule at least one FREE elective CE course each month. Sometimes it is a challenge to find instructors to teach for free, so we recommend taking advantage of these classes when they come up.

Once a year we schedule a free Core Law and Ethics CE at our Market Center. These classes fill up very fast so remember to RSVP if you still need these requirements!

KWHTR also has a promotion with The CE Shop where you can purchase and complete CE courses online. We almost always have a discount code for 25-40% off. Keep an eye out for emails from for current promotions, or check
